Headboard Walls & Upholstered Wall Panels, Made to Measure
A headboard wall treats the wall behind the bed as the room's architecture — upholstered panels sized to the wall itself, not the mattress. We design and make them in our West Yorkshire workshop, panel by panel, in the fabric you choose.
What a headboard wall is
A standard headboard is sized to the bed frame and stops there. A headboard wall keeps going — across the chimney breast, between the windows, sometimes floor to ceiling — so the bed sits against one composed surface rather than a piece of furniture. The room reads calmer because the largest plane in it has been designed rather than left over.
It is built from upholstered wall panels: made-to-measure units, each cut and covered by hand, arranged to the architecture of your wall. Padded, sound-softening, and warmer than paint or paper — which is why the same construction is used in rooms that are photographed for a living.
Full-wall compositions
Panels drawn to your wall's height and width, composed around windows, sockets and ceiling lines. Fluted, plain, buttoned or panelled — one surface, one drawing, made once.
Panels behind the bed
A wider-than-the-bed panel arrangement that frames the bed without committing the whole wall. The most common first commission — and it can be made in the same fabric batch as the bed itself.
Light and technology
Designed in from the drawing stage rather than clipped on afterwards — reading light where a book actually sits, warm light washing the wall, switches and charging where your hand expects them.
How a commission works
Send us the wall — a photograph and three measurements are enough to begin. We reply with an honest view of what the wall wants, then a drawing, then fabric. Orders generally take 2–4 weeks, because every panel is made after it is ordered.

A headboard is not furniture. It is the architecture of the bedroom.
Wall-mounted or full-height, upholstered panel by panel, shaped and proportioned to your wall alone — with lighting and power designed in from the first drawing.
