Trim, border or frame

The wood plays a different role on each design. On the Luxembourg a sculpted wooden border traces a wavy upholstered headboard. The Siena crowns a wave headboard with a curving wooden trim. The Linden edges bouclé panels in wood. The Nara holds a wide padded panel in a slim Japandi frame, and Kyoto and Kaizen set panels in a dark wooden border across a wall-width headboard. India frames a botanical print in light timber, and the Japandi 4 Poster takes the idea furthest, a wooden four poster frame around an upholstered headboard and base.

Why choose the combination

Upholstery is comfortable to sit against and quiet in a room; wood holds a line, takes the wear at the edges and gives the bed a drawn, architectural outline. Together they suit Japandi, mid-century and contemporary schemes, and the fabric can be re-covered years later while the frame stays.
