Every bed we make begins the same way: a frame built to order in our Batley workshop, upholstered by hand in the fabric you choose, in any UK size from single to super king. This is the whole range, twenty-eight designs, and every one of them can be built with a front-lift storage base, in any of our fabrics, and to a bespoke size on request. Choose the design first. Size, fabric and storage are chosen on the bed’s own page, and the price updates as you go. Nothing here is held in a warehouse: each bed is cut, built and finished after you order it, which is why lead time is measured in weeks and the bed arrives as yours rather than as stock.

Beds made in Yorkshire, since 1979

Yorkshire Interiors is a family-run bed maker, working in Batley, West Yorkshire since 1979. Every bed on this page is a bespoke bed, handmade in Yorkshire to order — designed, built and upholstered under one roof, never imported and never held in stock. It is the difference between a bed bought and a bed made for you.

Most commissions come from across the county — bespoke beds for homes in Leeds, Harrogate, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Sheffield and York — and the rest travel the length of the UK. Choosing by size

Start with the wall, not the bed. Our UK bed size guide holds every dimension in centimetres and feet — and the bedroom cheat sheet tells you what your wall run can actually take. Then browse the size directly: double beds, king size beds, super king beds, small double beds and single beds.

Choosing by silhouette

After size, choose the line of the headboard. A wavy headboard bed softens the wall with a run of piped crests; a scalloped or curved headboard bows more gently; a wooden-framed upholstered bed adds a visible timber border; a headboard wall takes the whole wall. Two ways to build a bed

Fully upholstered, or fabric framed in visible timber. Most of the range is the first: curved, scalloped and tailored upholstered silhouettes. Luxury Beds holds the second: upholstered beds with wooden frames and borders, the warmth of fabric inside the structure of timber — the Luxembourg is its purest expression. And behind every bed, the headboard can grow into a headboard wall, made to measure for the room. Torn between fabric and timber? You are not required to choose.

Bed frames, honestly

All of our beds are upholstered bed frames — built to be re-covered rather than replaced, with headboard height, buttoning and shape specified at order. Several designs are made with an ottoman base that lifts on gas struts, or with drawers. If a bed you like is shown in one form and you need another, it is usually possible: the frame is built to your specification, not selected from a range of finished options.

Made to measure

Beyond standard sizes, we build to your measurements — custom widths and bespoke heights for older houses, loft rooms and awkward landings. Commission a bespoke bed, or book a design consultation and we will listen first.

The fabric decides the room

How long does a made-to-order bed take?

Typically 2–4 weeks, because every frame is built and upholstered after it is ordered.

What warranty do the beds carry?

Every bed carries a 5-year warranty covering structural damage, subject to the cause. It does not cover fabric wear, normal wear and tear, or misuse.

What does a quality bed cost?
